JD Puppy, CPA
As I mentioned earlier, I was taking the CPA (certified public accountant) exams, the last one being right before I flew out for FC. So if you've been wondering why I have been virtually absent online for a great portion of the past few months, that's why. Well, I got the last score I was waiting on earlier this week, and received fantastic news - I passed all four parts of the CPA exam on the first try! =D

The pass mark is 75 or above out of 99, and my average over the four tests was above 90, so I not only passed, I knocked these things out of the park! One of the scores was a 98 - dunno how the heck that happened!
It's pretty significant for a number of reasons - first, I don't have to worry about studying anymore, and all I've got left to get my certification is to get the experience requirement down. The pass rate for passing all four parts on the first try is pretty slim - around 10% - since usually people fail one or two and have to retake them (retake pass rates are much higher, though). Second, I need it in order to get promoted. Third, I get a bonus for completing within my first year of working with PricewaterhouseCoopers - so I'll be getting a bit of extra money to enjoy the finer things as a reward for my hard work come July (June 30 is our year end for annual review)!
So I'm very excited about this, thanks to all who have given their support. I have been pretty occupied with work, dance, and exercise to celebrate properly as of late - but I'll be sure to set aside some time to truly appreciate my accomplishment!
