A busy month, more Florida, more Boston, and 5 weeks 'til GRADUATION!
Hey all!
So I did end up feeling better in time for the ballroom competition in Boston hosted by Harvard. But it renderd me with minimal practice time with my dance partners! Still, we winged it (as we almost always do), and actually came home with a few surprise ribbons! Here's a video of my partner and me dancing in the final round of the Silver Smooth Waltz/Tango.
[Warning: the person took the video with the camera turned. ACK!]
Following that, I came home to a Wii and Brawl in the house - thanks Jimmy for buying it while I was dancing! It's a fun game, and I'm glad that I got it. I actually played it 11 hours straight the following day... I hadn't gamed like that since I was in high school. But now that I got that out of the system, it's something I return to every once in a while. Still got Challenge windows to break, after all!

School has started to get really busy, with all of my courses fairly back-weighted and deliverables coming up left and right. But I'm managing to keep pace with it. It's everything else that I'm doing that contributes to the hectic busy-ness, but it makes for an exciting day. =)
Spring break was fun - didn't do anything for most of it. Just took care of a lot of things on the backburner. Drew more, started a routine of going to the gym and formulated a new circuit week for myself, among other stuff. Then, the final weekend of my break, Jimmy and I went down to Baltimore to visit Ruckus and Kinshasa for a party they were holding. Thanks for having us - we had an awesome time! =)
And with all that done, I've got my sights on a few big upcoming things. Next up on my plate is the NCA/NDA Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida, which I'm flying out for TOMORROW! I qualified as one of the top 5 submissions from around the country, and was invited to come down to perform live for the title of top mascot (kinda... 'cuz there are some holy crap awesome mascots that don't participate or are part of the UCA). I've been practicing for the past couple weeks on rehearsing a 90-second solo skit with props and soundtrack to exhibit areas of mascoteering that will be judged: Pantomime, Prop Utilization, Crowd Appeal, Characterization, and Creativity. Wish me luck! =)
Next up is the weekend after when I'll be back up in Boston to compete at MIT's ballroom competition, which is sure to be a challenge trying to make myself stick out to the judges as one of the best among the circa 100 couples in each of my dances!
And last but certainly not least in my things to be excited for - I'm graduating in 5 weeks! It'll be over in no time! It's been a fantastic ride! =D
